I spend so much of my time looking down. Headed somewhere with a purpose in mind. Hurried and rushed. Often not thinking about what is around me. Only in front of me and where I’m going. What I’ll accomplish when I arrive. One foot in front of the other. Always making progress. Or so it seems.

Such was the case today. Somewhere to be. Something to do. Never seemingly enough time to get it all done.

But just above my downward line of sight something caught my eye. Just out of view of my next step and my progress through the day.

What is it about looking up?

It stops your forward progress which can be a good thing at times. It makes you halt what you are doing. If only momentarily and contemplate something different. A different point of view. Never a bad thing even on the busiest of days

Sometimes that’s all it takes. Inspiration hidden just out of your line of sight. A different perspective awaiting discovery. An reason to pause along your daily path…. and just look up.
