Room with a View

Nearly every day during the summer months, a parade of sailors of all ages head out onto the water to hone their skills and engage in a little head to head competition on the bay here. From my viewpoint on the boat its an easy spectacle to enjoy sitting at water level with a long lens and a setting sun working in my favor.

Photographing anything moving quickly can many times come down to the edit. This afternoon was no exception. Sorting through the many shots this evening ultimately became just that. Finding that one image that tells the story. Searching for the one shot that brings all the movement, emotion, and excitement into a single frame.
