Working this week in Miami had the potential to present some new and different venues to explore for my effort today. Sadly the day collapsed and I found myself with far to little time and much higher expectations that I had time to execute.

Earlier in the day over breakfast, I was reading an article about pathways to creative rejuvenation. Tips to re-kindle the creative spark when the embers had cooled. Not feeling I had quite gone that far -yet, the author had one idea that proved to be helpful.

Simple he said, “ Don’t try too hard”. While that might not appear to be the best course to take when you are at the end of your rope. It does have some value when time and circumstances conspire against you. Taking a moment and relaxing. Not pushing or forcing a creative point of view can open opportunities that simply are not apparent when you don’t try too hard

Not that my effort today was a shining example for that process, it did make me think about creativity and what barriers we erect to block pathways that allow creative energy to flow more efficiently.

I’m excited, when time allows again, to explore this idea and see what comes of not always trying so hard.
