Like a zen garden or staring into an open campfire, the slow roll of a wave on still water can be mesmerizing.

Here at anchor for the last several days can offer freedom and peace without a doubt, but can present its own challenges from a photography point of view. The sky and the water comprise nearly 100% of the view. Just two elements minus the bobbing platform I sit peacefully aboard.

My inspiration comes to me in measured pulses of slow rolling waves as the sun sets. Delivered without a sound in rhythmic lines that slowly dissipate until the sea state returns to a mirror pond state.
