Around Back

A camera can take you to lots of interesting places.

Be it down a dark alley where better judgment tells you not to go. Or like today rummaging around the back of a building once inhabited by a renowned abstract painter.

Either way, the act of discovery is still the same. Sometimes it’s hidden just out of sight waiting for the creative eye to capture and other times, as photographer Jennifer Bishops says, you find “a whole lot of nothing”.

The process of discovery remains the same. A healthy dose of patience mixed with a little curiosity goes a long way to helping you down the path to finding the photograph you are searching for.

It’s up to every photographer to find.
