Dale’s Place

A recent trip to Tacoma found me exploring the downtown area, where the Museum of Glass prominently features the work of the legendary artist and glassblower, Dale Chihuly. The architectural structures comprising the museum space are equally impressive, with massive display cases filled with colorful glass acting as pedestrian bridges across freeways to a chimney structure that vents the ovens and workspaces of his shop below.

I didn’t venture inside this trip, as I was busy enjoying the renaissance of downtown Tacoma, transforming from a sleepy timber town to an art center.
