Capital Lake

With remnants of fall still clinging to a few branches, a warm spring afternoon was an open invitation. Capital Lake in Olympia was created as a reflecting pool to highlight the capitol dome. On an afternoon spent walking its shoreline, the original intent of the designers was clearly evident — and not lost on this photographer.
