A Place to Stand

This is one of my favorite quotes about photography. It’s a quote that holds true no matter what style of photography you are interested in.

Finding the right place to be while shooting a picture is about angle and perspective. Composition and point of view. It can be on the ground laying on your back or perched atop a fence post out in a field. Wherever you need to be to find that perfect place all becomes clear when you finally arrive there.

A step to the left. A couple of inches lower. Like a puzzle where the remaining pieces slip into place and the picture is complete.
