Fencing in Fall

The last remnants of fall are barely hanging on in the Northwest. Gone
are the tree-lined avenues, once vibrant with autumn colors, now
overtaken by the aftermath of wind and rain. What was once a visual
wonder has been reduced to piles of decay along the walkways and
streets. Still, hints of color linger at the edges of open spaces,
clinging low to the ground and fighting for the last bit of light and
life before winter settles in.

Here, I find those remaining colors, corralled into a dilapidated fabric
fence, grasping for the fading daylight. A little selective focus
highlighting what little remains of fall.
