Salvation Ahead

Walking back home last night well after dark a beacon of light greeted me as I turned the corner illuminating the pitch-black sidewalk ahead.

If only I was in need of salvation – I would have found my place.

A bright shining cross against the dark sky seemed like the perfect metaphor for how religion sees its role in our lives. Lighting the path to redemption in a dark world. Just follow the light and it will lead you to peace and salvation.

If only it were that simple
